The II Additional District and Sessions Court in Raichur on Wednesday issued an arrest warrant against actor Pooja Gandhi as she failed to appear before the court for two hearings in a row, in a case related to violation of model code of conduct during the 2013 Assembly polls. The case was adjourned to May 22, for the next hearing. Earlier too, the court had issued an arrest warrant against the actor after she failed to appear before the court, though summons were served on her on three occasions. Ms. Gandhi, who had contested from the Raichur Assembly Constituency in the 2013 Assembly elections on BSR Congress ticket, is facing the charge of violating the model code of conduct by using vehicles for election campaign without the permission of the Election Commission.
