March 12, 2015 05:40 pm | Updated 05:40 pm IST - Tumakuru

President of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, Dr. G. Parameshwara said that the appointment of an administrative officer to the Mahalakshmi Temple at Goravanahalli in Koratagere taluk in the district by the government is temporary.

Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, Dr. Parameshwara said that due to the dispute between the trust of the Temple and local people, the Government had appointed an administrative officer.

The Temple will be given back to the trust after resolution of the dispute.

He refused to react to the demand made by former MLA, Sa.Lingaiah to expel Parameshwara from the Congress party in-order to save the party.

He said it is left to the Congress High Command to decide on his role in the party after the completion of his tenure as the president of KPCC.
