August 17, 2016 01:24 am | Updated 01:24 am IST - BENGALURU:

Nearly two months after she resigned from service citing allegations of “harassment” by a Minister in the Karnataka government, the former Deputy Superintendent of Police Anupama Shenoy has released audio tapes of phone conversations she allegedly had with the Minister and her superiors to a news channel in New Delhi.

The news channel aired audio clips from the tapes that Ms. Shenoy claims were recordings of her phone conversations with P.T. Parameshwar Naik, then Labour Minister. The tapes she claimed also had recordings of her conversations with her superior officers, including the State police chief, who she alleged transferred her from Kudligi in Ballari district after she “took on” Mr. Naik. Ms. Shenoy alleged that the tapes showed how the Minister concerned spoke “rudely” to her.
