Processions and functions marked the 124th birth anniversary of B.R. Ambedkar in Kolar district on Tuesday. Ambedkar statues were garlanded by dignitaries and functionaries of various organisations throughout the district.
At the district headquarter, a huge procession was held to observe the birth anniversary of the architect of Indian Constitution. A number of tableaus by different outfits and government departments were the main attraction of the procession.
The tableaus carried messages of government programmes such as Swachcha Bharat, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, health department schemes.
Folk artistes added glitter to the procession by their performance.
