Deputy Commissioner H.R. Mahadev has written to the State government recommending action against Noor Pre University College in Bidar which is facing charges of examination malpractice.

Deputy Director of Pre University Shivaraj Patil has filed a police complaint against the college principal and two other staff for aiding copying. Mr. Mahadev has warned the college authorities and said that the remaining examinations in the college will be closely watched.

The police, however, said that the complaint had no details like the names of the accused. It only says that in the presence of the college principal, some unidentified person gave mobile phones to two students to enable them to copy. This has been captured in the CCTV cameras. We are studying the footage. We will catch the culprits soon, SP Prakash Nikam said. The amended examination rules mandate jail terms for those involved in malpractices.
