Youth dies inroad accident,six injured

A youth from Neyveli in Tamil Nadu was killed and six of his friends were injured in a road accident on Pune-Bengaluru National Highway No 4 near Sankeshwar on Sunday.

Vimalraj died of injuries at the district hospital in Belagavi, while Jonas David of Puducherry was referred to a private hospital owing to his serious condition.

The other five injured are undergoing treatment at the district hospital. They were identified as Ashmim Raj, Hussain Mehaboob Hussain, Senthil Nandagopalan, Abdul Basid Abdul Kalam and Arvind Harikrishnan, all residents of Puducherry.

All of them were on their to Vita in Sangli district to attend the wedding of their common friend when their car overturned as one of its front tyres burst.
