KSRTC bus topples near Nanjangud, 12 passengers injured

A KSRTC bus proceeding to Bengaluru from Tiruchi toppled near Nanjangud early on Tuesday morning, injuring 12 passengers.

KSRTC officials said the bus was carrying 33 passengers when the mishap took place around 3.30 a.m. on Tuesday. Seven suffered serious injuries. They have been admitted to a private hospital in Mysuru.

The driver of the Rajahamsa bus lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a curve at Golur.

While the arms of four passengers had suffered fractures, three others had their fingers fractured. The other persons had suffered minor injuries, officials added.
