A 67-year-old cyclist from Mandoor village died after he was run over by a KSRTC bus in Kuvettu village in Belthangady police station limits on Wednesday.
The police said that the KSRTC bus was going from Dharmasthala to Gokarna. Near the Fire Service Station in Kuvettu village, the bus hit the bicycle of Silvester Vegas. Silvester Vegas fell off his bicycle and a part of his body came under the wheels of the bus around 2 p.m.
Silvester Vegas died in the government hospital at around 3 p.m.
