26.34% pass in II PU supplementary exam

There has been some improvement in the performance of II pre-university students who took the supplementary exam in June/July. The pass percentage stands at 26.34, an increase from last year’s 20.87.

The highest pass percentage is in the Science stream, with 34.13% of the total 77,162 students clearing the exam. This is a 12.32 percentage points increase from last year.

C. Shikha, director of the Department of Pre-University Education, said on Tuesday that students who had cleared the supplementary exam could participate in the counselling of the second extended round of the Common Entrance Test. The pass percentage in the Commerce stream is 25.61, an increase from last year’s 22. The pass percentage in the Arts stream stands at 20.68, which is a decline by 1.19 percentage points from the previous year.

Those who wish to apply for scanned copies of answer scripts can do so by July 31. The last date for applying for re-evaluation and re-totalling is August 3.
