15,095 students to appear for SSLC exams from Gadag

Nearly 15,095 candidates including 7,951 boys and 7,144 girls have registered for this year’s SSLC examinations in to be held at 54 designated examination centres here from March 30 to April 13.

Chairing the pre-examination meeting here on Monday, the Deputy Commissioner N.S. Prasanna Kumar said the district administration would initiate stern action if malpractices were reported from any of the examination centres. He instructed the officials to ensure that all candidates were provided with desks and benches and no one should write examinations sitting on floor, he said.

The Zilla Panchayat chief executive officer Sanjay Shettannavar said the examination centres at Shantagiri high school in Ron, SKPV PU College in Holealur, Veerabhadreshwara PU College in Belavanaki, Uma Vidyalaya in Shirahatti Lakshmeshwar, SJF high school of Bellatti, Government Boys PU College in Naragund and KVSR high school in Rajiv Gandhi Nagar in Gadag have been declared sensitive examination centres. He suggested installing CCTVs in these centres to record examination process.
