As many as 14 persons, including a couple of children, were injured when a private bus skidded off National Highway 13 near Arovanahalli under the Mariyammanahalli police limits in the early hours of Monday.
According to the police, the accident occurred when the driver of the bus tried to avoid potholes on the national highway and the bus skidded off the road, to the right.
There were 32 passengers in the bus which was bound for Bangalore from Koppal.
On getting information, the police rushed to the spot and got the injured admitted some passengers in the government hospital at Hospet and others in private nursing homes. Two children, who suffered fracture in the leg, were shifted to VIMS Hospital in Bellary. The other passengers were treated as outpatients and discharged.
Mariyammanahalli police have registered a case.
