As many as 102 schools have secured cent per cent results in SSLC this year in Mysuru district while only three schools (private) have secured less than 40 per cent results. Of the 102 schools, 14 are aided, 29 are government schools and 59 are unaided private schools. Only 79 schools had got 100 per cent results last year.
Over 40,215 students, including 19,953 boys and 20,262 girls had written the examinations from Mysuru district, and of them 35, 844 passed the examination while 4,371 students failed.
The district, which was in 23rd position in the State last year stands 10th with pass percentage of 89.13. Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation programme, Chintana Mantana and special training imparted to teachers have paid dividends, according to officials at the office of the Deputy Director of Public Instruction.
No school had secured zero per cent results this year like last year, and according to the officials only three schools secured less than 40 per cent. The schools are Dalwai High School situated behind Corporation, Shivayogi high School in Nazarabad and Sharada High Schoool, B.B.Garden. Notices have been issued to teachers and head masters of the three schools and based on their reply, suitable action would be taken, the officials added. The department will also take steps to ensure that the three schools perform well in the next SSLC examination.
There are over 232 government schools in the district and all of them have secured more than 60 per cent results. The department is keen on ensuring that those who have failed appear for the supplementary examination, and continue their studies.
