The Karnataka Cabinet will deliberate on the final report of the Lokayukta on illegal mining at its meeting scheduled for Thursday afternoon, Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa said on Wednesday.

Mr. Yeddyurappa, who has been summoned by the Bharatiya Janata Party central leadership following his indictment by the report, told journalists before leaving for New Delhi that it would take a considerable amount of time for the government to study the voluminous report submitted by the Lokayukta on Wednesday.

“Old issues”

However, he maintained that many of the issues mentioned in the report were old and related to cases which had already been before various courts, including the Supreme Court.

Consultations

He said he would hold consultations with the BJP central leaders on the fallout of the report.
