Marathon talks to end the impasse between the management of Jet Airways and its pilots before the Chief Labour Commissioner remained inconclusive on Friday.
The talks will continue in Mumbai on Saturday.
The deadlock has caused large-scale disruption of flights, affecting nearly 14,000 passengers daily for the past four days. On average 200 Jet flights, including those on international routes, have been cancelled as hundreds of pilots reported sick.
Hopes of a settlement were kindled on Thursday evening as a tentative, broad understanding was said to have been reached through the mediation of Congress MP Sanjay Nirupam and some others.
Kharge hopeful
Labour Minister Mallikarjun Kharge said that he was confident of a solution "within 48 hours.''
