Japan expresses gratitude

The Consulate-General of Japan in Mumbai on Monday expressed gratitude for the sympathy demonstrated by the Indian people in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake and Tsunami in Japan.

“[We are] truly grateful to receive numerous messages of heartfelt condolences and deep sympathy from the friends and the people of India as well as from the members of the Consular Corps in Mumbai. On behalf of the government and the people of Japan, the Consulate-General of Japan in Mumbai wishes to express sincere gratitude. The Consulate also prays for the safety of the citizens of India and other countries in Japan in this adverse situation,” a press note from the Consulate said.
