Hisar hottest at 42.2 degree Celsius

Hisar braved yet another hot day at 42.2 degree Celsius as most parts of Haryana and neighbouring Punjab continued to experience the scorching heat for the third consecutive day on Wednesday.

The maximum at Hisar was three degrees above normal level, the MeT department said here. Ambala and Karnal also had a hot day, recording maximum of 40.1 degree and 40 degree respectively.

In Punjab, sweltering heat prevailed in Amritsar, which recorded a high of 41.7 degree, up by five notches.

Ludhiana recorded a high of 40.7 degree, up three degrees, while Patiala was even hotter at 41.2 degree, up four notches.
