Goa police arrest one in Russian girl rape case

One of the two accused in the nine-year-old Russian girl rape case in Goa, Anil Kumar Raghuvanshi was arrested on Friday, police said.

Deputy Inspector General of Police, Ravindra Yadav told PTI that Raghuvanshi, who was in his thirties, was arrested from a bus stop in here on Friday.

He is one of the two accused involved in the case while the main accused, Aman Bharadwaj, is still at large, Mr. Yadav said.

Raghuvanshi hails from Madhya Pradesh’s Hoshangabad district, Mr. Yadav said.

The nine-year-old Russian girl, holidaying in Goa with her mother, was allegedly sexually assaulted at the Arambol beach in north Goa on January 26.
