Senior Madhya Pradesh Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya on Monday said that campaigns like Vishva Hindu Parishad's ‘ghar vapsi’ programme were needed to protect the members of Hindu community from ‘exploitation’.
In a tweet this morning, he said: “How can we tolerate exploitation of Hindus in the name of religion. There is a need to have big programmes like ‘ghar vapsi’ in large numbers.” He also questioned Congress leaders for not backing a strong law against religious conversion.
“There is a demand for a stringent legislation against conversion. But Congress president Sonia Gandhi, her son Rahul Gandhi and Digvijay Singh are silent (on the issue).”
