Four children injured in Delhi factory explosion

Four children suffered burn injuries when a drum containing chemicals exploded in a south-east Delhi factory this morning, officials said.

The incident was reported from a factory in Okhla Phase-II at around 9 a.m. and two fire tenders were rushed to the spot, fire brigade officials said.

Delhi Disaster Management Authority officials said four children suffered burn injuries in the incident.

“A drum containing chemicals exploded. The exact reason for the explosion is being investigated,” a senior police official said.

The injured children have been rushed to a nearby hospital.
