Former Indian Information Service officer G. Mohanty is the latest in the long list of retired government officials who have joined the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Mr. Mohanty was inducted into the party by senior BJP leader and national general secretary J.P. Nadda in New Delhi recently.
An alumnus of IIT Kharagpur, Mr. Mohanty is presently practising law in the Delhi High Court and Supreme Court.
Apart from serving as a spokesperson for CBI, he served as the Director General of News Services Division of AIR and DAVP.
