Faults govt.’s handling of Nepal

November 07, 2015 01:05 am | Updated 01:05 am IST - NEW DELHI:

BJP president Amit Shah and senior office-bearers of the RSS, including its joint general secretary in charge coordinating between the RSS and the BJP met on Friday, where the RSS expressed grave concern over the government’s handling of Nepal.

Underlining the seriousness of this concern was the presence of the national representative of the RSS’s Nepal outfit, the Hindu Swayamsewak Sangh Ved Prakash, and his second in command Rewat Kumar. Also present at the meeting was the BJP’s Nepal ‘prakosht’ or cell chief, Amit Kumar.

Top sources said that the RSS felt that the situation with the Madhesis’ blockade had been mishandled “since the entire focus of the party and the government seemed to be the Bihar elections.”

“The feeling was that there had been an unnecessary escalation of the situation because of a lack of communication between the two governments,” said the source.
