Senior Congress leader N.D. Tiwari on Friday suffered a setback with the Supreme Court refusing to stay a Delhi High Court order which asked him to undergo DNA test to determine the outcome of a pending suit.

A Bench of Justices Aftab Alam and R. M. Lodha, however, issued notice to the respondent to consider larger legal issues involved in the matter.

On March 14, the court gave an option to Mr. Tiwari that the findings of the test would not be made public till the suit against him was decided, and that the report would be kept in a sealed cover.
