CRPF jawan injured in Srinagar attack

A CRFP Jawan was injured when militants tonight attacked a police vehicle in Nowgam area of Srinagar, causing panic among the residents and passers by.

A police official said a CRPF vehicle of 23 Battalion came under attack from militants as it reached Nowgam on the Srinagar-Baramulla highway. The militants managed to flee from.the spot. An official said a Head Constable was injured. He had been hospitalised, he said.  The Lashkar-e-Taiba claimed responsibility for the attack.
