Former Telecom Minister and key accused in the 2G scam case, A. Raja, was on Wednesday allowed by a Delhi court to visit his home State Tamil Nadu between June 8 and June 30.

Mr. Raja had moved the plea seeking permission to visit Tamil Nadu as the court, while granting him bail on May 15, had imposed certain conditions, including that he would not visit his home State without its prior permission.

Special CBI Judge O.P. Saini allowed the plea, in which the DMK MP had said that he had not visited Tamil Nadu for the last over one-and-a-half year.

Mr. Raja had sought court’s permission also on the ground that the trial proceedings would not be undertaken from June 9 to June 30 owing to summer vacation.

“A. Raja is allowed to visit his home State Tamil Nadu from June 8 to June 30 subject to conditions as were imposed upon him in the bail order dated May 15,” the judge said.

Mr. Raja was granted bail by the court holding that his further detention would not serve any purpose as all the other 13 co-accused are already out on bail.

I have been reading these reports of loss created by 2G spectrum allocation especially "The Hindu" which run's a separate column on it. I always complained it as biased because it never counter questioned the CAG estimation of 1,76,000 Crore rupees. recently it produced another news story on A.Raja MP from Nilgris has creasted a loss of 30,000 Crore Rs. I want to ask what about the media scam of creating a sensation by mentioning a mysterious figure of 1,76,000 Crore and silently reducing it to 30,000 Crore Rs? Who is going to question that ? I actually asked some persons known to me from telecom industry it was even surprising that spectrum actually is of ZERO VALUE. Then how come these loss estimates come along, if Army was using this spectrum before were they were using a resource so much valuable for granted ? Even they are(Indian Army) have not vacated the CDMA some spectrum? How much they pay the government for it? What is real value of it? does CAG know diff between EDGE and 3G?

India's judiciary is violating the Constitution with impunity by
locking up the citizens and denying bail for a long time: Bail is a
Right of ALL citizens. The inept CBI, in the name of protecting the
bogus witnesses, blocks any defendant getting bail, and the inept
Courts agree with the investigating agencies. A. Raja is an MP and
must be allowed to visit his constituency without any impediment from
anybody. This 2G "Scam" is something cooked up by the inept media, the
CAG and the Opposition, while it is truly a matter of Policy to sell
the spectrum on the First Come First Served basis in order to increase
the teledensity. Because of this policy implemented by A. Raja, nearly
850 million citizens enjoy wireless telephony for the cheapest price
in the entire world. The so-called Rs. 1.76 lake crore loss is a
NOTIONAL loss and not REAL loss. And, A. Raja did not gain even a
paise on this deal. This is an undisputed fact in the Trial Court.
Soon Aam Aadmi will know this. Wait & watch.

Media has already judged Raja. Any outcome other than convicting Raja
would be seen as CBI and Judiciary ineffective and politicians can do
anything and walk away. Media played a big role in corrupting the mind
of the people projecting every system in India is corrupt. If we cannot
have faith on the leaders we elect and the systems of our country, we
are divided and the country is doomed. We need unity among diversity
not more division

There is no use of preventing Raja to visit Tamil nadu. 15 days or more does not make difference. Either the court should have prevented Raja from visiting till a milestone in case is reached or there should not be a clause of preventing. "On-Permission-visit" does not serve purpose.

Mr. Rajan; Our Judicial System as good as it is in the any other
democratic country. Mr. Raja is still innocent until he proven guilty.
Nobody should pass the judjement on any one without knowing the facts.
If all acuuest should be in jail, even my state (tamil nadu) CM should
be in jail too. Law is for everyone! Don't pray to punish Raja before he
is actually punished.

The time which the 2G accused spent so far is the ONLY time they will ever spend. CBI the commited investigation agency will ensure that the case of both investigation and prosecution is botched up at every stage that nothing ever comes out of it. In fact, the way the Satyam case is going should give an idea to every one what is going on in this country. If one says this, the PM and Congress President will become angry.

No use of our judicial system. Even if a politician does a murder, he will be sent out after some time with security. After 1 year they will get bail and the case will also eventually fade out. Raja was granted bail, 10 days later he is allowed to enter tamilnadu and in another 10 days, he will also be in his party. These DMK so called ministers, Raja, Kanimozhi don't even feel ashamed for the scams. Their release were celebrated as someone out of jail for a noble cause. Isn't there anyone to question them? Long live our judicial system. If a normal person steals a thing worth of even Rs.100, then they will put him in jail and he would be tortured to the limits, but these so called politicians are given good tight securities and are happy out. Are they going to be back in jail, no way.....they are not on bail, they are released. Longgggg live our judicial system.
