Congress questions removal of Sujatha Singh as Foreign Secretary

Congress on Thursday questioned the timing of government’s decision to remove Sujatha Singh as Foreign Secretary. Former Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari wrote on Twitter:

Government on Wednesday night decided to replace Ms. Singh curtailing her tenure by seven months and appointed India’s ambassador to the U.S. S. Jaishankar in her place.
