Cobalt-60 found in a person's purse in hospital

Radioactive Cobalt-60 was found in the possession of an individual at a private hospital in west Delhi on Friday by members of the National Disaster Management Team (NDMA).

Cobalt-60, which caused radiation poisoning at Mayapuri in west Delhi recently, was found in the purse of an individual who brought it to Max Hospital at Pitampura, B.B. Bhattacharya, member of the NDMA, said.

A team of experts reached the hospital to evaluate the level of exposure.
