Alleging that Congress and BJP were hand-in-glove on the coal block allocation issue, erstwhile Team Anna on Thursday announced gherao of the residences of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and BJP chief Nitin Gadkari on Sunday.
This was announced by activist Arvind Kejriwal, leader of India Against Corruption (IAC), in a tweet on Thursday morning.
“Congress and BJP have got together to loot Rs. 1.86 lakh crore in coal scam. (There will be) gherao of Prime Minister’s and Nitin Gadkari’s residences. Let us assemble at Jantar Mantar on August 26 (at) 10 AM,” he tweeted.
The announcement came as a CAG report said that the exchequer lost around Rs. 1.86 lakh crore due to coal block allocation without competitive bidding during 2005-09.
Earlier, the erstwhile Team Anna had decided to hold the first meeting of preparatory committee this Sunday which will chalk out the ways for formation of a political party.
However, now this meeting is likely to take place in the first week of September as they are yet to finalise the names.
Team Anna had earlier this month decided to take a political plunge.
Last week, the activists had threatened to file a PIL in court and carry out a referendum to “expose” the UPA on coal block allocations if the government does not constitute a special team to probe allegations.
“We have raised it on May 25. All our allegations have come true now. All parties are involved in it since screening committees have representatives of states also.
“We demand cancellation of allotments of coal blocks.
Lodge FIR, constitute an SIT, failing which we will file PIL in court and carry out referendum on the issue to expose the government,” Mr Kejriwal had said.

The names Mr. Kejriwal and his colleagues associated with the proposed action will hit the headlines of the news papers and they will be detained by the police at the most for a day and released thereafter.Anna talked of forming a political outfit that will be a path breaker In India now afflicted with a corrupt political system. How far the idea has progressed? What is the blue print of Kejriwal & Co, to revolutionalise the political system that will change the face of India? People are interested in that, and not gheroes, fasts and dharnas.
I think its time for Team Anna to float a party and work towards 2014 general election.

At last,more than raising disgust in the social and public fora, the agreived are taking the
matter to a higher level through true activism! It is time the 'untouchable' and the 'pretend
nobles' taste the wrath of the public anger as these unparliamentary people who have taken
an oath to uphold the constitution and apply the rule of law, to that,on both counts, they
failed. The public has the right to remind them of their duty of care for the country they have

All parties play with the same ball.Sometime the ball will be with one party and other time it will be with other party.
PM(prime minister)already told he will resign when allegation of Coal Scam will be proved against him. My dear PM take history, no allegation can be proved against a king till he is on throne. Come out of the thorne means resign as PM then everything will be proved against you.The only thing which can though out corruption and the alleged people is "LOKPAL bill" jai Lokpal. This would be my suggestion to team anna:
"Instead of forming a political party, let the candidates be called as team anna members and fight as independent candidates. If across India they win about 20-30 seats.. then the group can be a game changer(like mamata's party). As they does not hate other political parties, issue based support (for ex.passing of lokpal bill) can be given to other party. This leads to 5 advantages 1:No grass route beginning is required, as they already have. 2: It is like a movement but without any specific name so congress/BJP/ other parties cannot paint it with one colored brush. 3: Easy to fight on a single agenda, no broad focus is required 4: No long term forecast is needed so they can get in and get out. 5: After they get what they need (janlokpal) they could fight on other issues without forming a political party."

Arvind Kejriwal views do not represent the views of the people. People are fed up with corruption but that does not mean they will elect any 'tom, dick and harry' in the 2014 election. Do you expect the people of India to vote for persons without having a background check on them.
Very good decision Mr. Arvind Kejriwal!! It initiates a new mode of political practice and protest to save democracy in our country and nice effort to ask the people to meet their corrupted leader directly by going to their doors, but only and strictly in a peaceful manner. This is also a good shift in your political practice from that earlier Gandhian mendicant fasting to a concrete political proxy. So far the common people believed in the constitutional commitment of Indian judiciary and other police institutes like the CBI in protecting the country’s natural wealth from being looted by the Indian politicians and business tycoons and from being mortgaged to the Imperialist countries. They have befooled and cheated the people by remaining spectators to all loots and by working hand in glove with the corrupted and dynastic political parties like the Congress and the BJP. Now time has come to gherao the mansions of the “Specialists in ruling” (Indian Democratic Kings and Queens).

Team Kejriwal is not only undermining the parliament, but also
questioning the wisdom of people at large. They have become arrogant and
intolerant. They must not be paid any heed. It was government's mistake
to have made them part of Lok pal drafting initially.
I totally agree with the views of Mr Arvind Kejariwal. Let there be a better alternative to choose from in 2014 Parliament elections.

Team Anna seems to be the only alternative to UPA as NDA lacks a leader face like Atal ji. Modi could be a good option but other parties in NDA specially BJD is not in his favor. Also his image in rest of the India (outside Gujarat) is not secular as its been created by media and Congress, so they can not project him as PM candidate. I wish team Anna all the best for 2014 elections.

By the accounts reported in the media and Parliamentary theatrics shown
on TV, how much "administrative know-how" do you think the current
ruling parties have demonstrated so far, and is it of a "quality" that
meets the nation's needs, or appeals to you?
The younger generation of India must decide what kind of country they
want to live in, and the older generation, what kind of inheritance they
want to leave their children/grandchildren.
Mr. Kejriwal and Team Anna you are the true national heros. The country desperately need your team to step up and run in the 2014 elections.
The "erstwhile Team Anna" needs a new name by which it can be
recognized and referred. It would be better for them to formally form
a party, give it a name, and carry out all communication and
initiatives in the name of the new entity.
They can also start a membership drive, face the challenge of keeping
unscrupulous elements from becoming members, formulate a party
manifesto, project a larger set of leaders with focus on broader
issues etc. It is one thing to champion a single cause, it is another
to become a party, where you have to have policy on a wider range of
issues.
I am desperately looking for a better alternative to UPA/NDA in the coming 2014
elections. Can Arvind Kejriwal and team provide us one? Do they have the
administrative know-how to run a country like India? It would be really great if they
can provide us this much need alternative to these scandalous counterparts. I have
never voted so far but I will if I am offered a better alternative.

It is more than evident than ever, how parliament the temple of democracy, is being hijacked by its member. The ruling n opposition do scams together and then make a drama into the parliament to prove "You did it". Keeping all the interest of nation aside. The current race of politician irrespective of their party, caste, religion n region of belonging need to be taught a lesson. I am sure people will do it in next general election.
good luck to team Anna. It's an irony that Kejriwal was given a notice for insulting the Parliament, when the very people inside are so corrupt and greedy. Its a bigger insult to let these people be inside.
