India's chance of getting a place in the “High Table” (Security Council seat) of the United Nations is good, Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao told journalists on Sunday.
Ms. Rao, who was here in connection with the Passport Officers' regional conference, said it was a matter of time India's claim to the Security Council seat was considered. India got a good response from countries when it was selected for the non permanent seat at the Security Council. Of course, there were various considerations, including the claims of several aspirants that comprised some African countries.
