The Union Cabinet on Thursday recommended the revocation of President’s rule in the Jharkhand.
“The Cabinet has made appropriate recommendation to the President based on the Governor’s recommendation,” Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram said, adding, “You will have to wait for the President’s decision.”
On September 7, after the newly-elected BJP Legislature Party leader Arjun Munda staked his claim to form a government, Governor M.O.H. Farook sent a report to the Centre.
The Congress, which has 14 MLAs and its ally JVMP 11, has not shown any interest in forming a government, stressing that the mandate for the party was to sit in the Opposition.
