Breakthrough in Bastar attack probe?

The Odisha police on Monday arrested two Maoists, who are suspected to be part of the group that ambushed the Chhattisgarh Congress leaders’ convoy in Bastar last month, killing 20 people. Sources in the government said a team from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has reached the State to interrogate the two, who were arrested from Malkangiri. The two men are alleged to have provided logistical and other support, the sources added.Top State Congress leaders who lost their lives in the attack included State party unit chief Nand Kumar Patel, former minister and founder of Salwa Judum Mahendra Karma and the former Union Minister, V.C. Shukla.
