Bollywood stars to observe Martyr’s Day in capital

Celebrities like John Abraham, Sharmila Tagore, Raveena Tandon and Sunidhi Chauhan will observe Martyr’s Day with The Flag Foundation of India, as part of its programme Sadbhavna Sandhya — Mahatma Ke Path Par .

The programme will be held at the India Gate lawns on Thursday and will see the presence of many Bollywood stars, said a statement.

Actor Annu Kapoor will host the show which will bring together thousands of people from across the country. They will join observe a minute’s silence to honour Mahatma Gandhi.

The celebrities will also form a human chain and chant “Raghupati Raghav, Raja Ram,” remembering Gandhiji and his values. The programme will mark the culmination of the Flag Week celebration which began on January 23.
