Make list public: parties

October 29, 2014 11:10 pm | Updated November 16, 2021 07:12 pm IST - NEW DELHI:

Reacting to the Centre’s submission of the list of 627 Indians who have accounts in HSBC bank, political parties demanded that the government make public those involved. Daring the government to make the names public, the Congress alleged that BJP had “befooled” the public on the issue during the Lok Sabha election campaign and asked what happened to its promise of bringing back black money.

“The BJP had to part with the list under pressure from the Supreme Court,” AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal said and demanded that bank officials involved in facilitating the opening of foreign bank accounts also should be punished.
