Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today announced it will hold an all-India protest on November 21 on the eve of the winter session of Parliament against the Congress-led UPA government which, it alleged, is responsible for several scams, price rise and FDI in multi-brand retail.
BJP vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told reporters here that demonstrations, sit-ins, rallies and marches will be held in State capitals.
He alleged UPA is to be blamed for price rise, corruption, scams and for bringing in FDI in multi-brand retail.
Senior BJP leaders will visit different State capitals to lead the protests.
BJP president Nitin Gadkari, facing charges of dubious funding against his companies, will go to Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh to lead the protest.
Asked about the issue, Mr Naqvi said “Gadkari had earlier expressed his wish to hold a rally in Itanagar. So, he would like to lead this protest there and he agreed. BJP has always felt a sense of responsibility towards the Northeast. Rajnath Singh and M Venkaiah Naidu have held rallies there in the past.”
The ‘Halla Bol’ rallies across the country on November 21 will be followed by opposition protests in Parliament when the session begins the next day.
“The UPA government’s calculations on the ground and its arithmetic in Parliament have both gone haywire,” Mr Naqvi alleged.

The Congress party was elected by the people of the country to rule for 5 years. As a responsible (always irresponsible)opposition party BJP had never advised the Govt on the floor of the Parliament for the betterment of the country men if it finds anything wrong.Leaving everything not allowing the Parliament to function under one pretext or other it is afraid of attending the Parliament because it will be throughly exposed of its sinister intensions. In UK when the commercial establishments were looted by the hooligans the opposition party came to the rescue of the govt and wanted the Govt to take stern action against the hooligans. The have not sought the resignation of the PM.Here we got a useless opposition party which will demand the resignation of the PM even if it rains. What to do? That is democracy.By staging dharnas demonstrations it is putting the GOVT in a fix by not allowing it to function for what it was elected.
