The West Bengal Clinical Establishment Regulatory Commission on Friday held Apollo Gleneagles Hospital, Kolkata, guilty of “mismanagement and misrepresentation of facts, deficiency in services” and directed the private health facility to pay ₹30 lakh to the parents of a four-month-old girl who died at the hospital in April this year.
The Commission also directed the West Bengal Medical Council to take action against doctors V.R. Srivastava, Mahesh Kumar Goenka and Sanjay Mahawar, whom the regulatory commission found guilty of negligent treatment.
