Bank union representatives meet Finance Minister Jaitley

Representatives of the All India Bank Employees’ Association and the All India Bank Officers Association met Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in New Delhi on Thursday to seek his immediate intervention to solve “long-pending issues.”

The meeting was held just a day before the crucial talks which would decide the fate of the four-day bank strike planned from February 25. The Chief Labour Commissioner in New Delhi has called the meeting with the Indian Banks’ Association.

AIBEA general secretary C.H. Venkatachalam said they had submitted a joint memorandum listing out seven pointswith sponsor banks.
