The four-day ‘Young Doctors Camp’ of Yashoda Hospitals concluded on Tuesday with 120 youngsters receiving participatory certificates. An annual event, the camp is aimed at providing an opportunity for students, who will join class 10 from this academic year, to observe and interact with super speciality doctors.
“The camp has received overwhelming response as we had received 900 applications and had a tough time pruning it to 120 students. Our aim was to provide students a deeper understanding of medical profession and help them take a right career decision,” said MD, Yashoda Group of Hospitals, Dr. G.S. Rao.
Students were given a kit consisting of a bag, pen, writing pads and also a doctor’s apron. The camp was held simultaneously in three branches of Malakpet, Somajiguda and Secunderabad.
“Students visited all medical departments including diagnostics, in-patient wards, pharmacies, out patient departments, operation theatre and nursing stations,” said COO, Yashoda Hospital, Dr R. Chandrashekar, according to a press release.
