Former Congress MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar has asked senior Congress leader S. Jaipal Reddy to prove that his book titled Vibhajana Katha as a cock and bull story, and come out with facts and inside version on the division of the State.

Addressing the media here on Friday, Mr. Arun Kumar said that 18 pages in the book were based on his assumptions on Mr. Reddy’s speech at a public meeting in Warangal. Mr. Arun Kumar said that if his writings were cock and bull stories, Mr. Reddy can throw light on what had happened in the Speaker’s chamber on February 18, 2014. Mr. Reddy had played a key role in bringing about a consensus between Congress leader Kamalnath and BJP leader Sushma Swaraj, which helped in the passage of the bill in favour of Telangana, he said.

“But what transpired between the leaders in the Speaker’s chamber is important,” Mr. Arun Kumar said, and added: “Mr. Reddy was an eyewitness. He alone was privy to what had transpired between the leaders.”

“I hope that Mr. Reddy will come out with facts on bifurcation,” he said.

On YSRC fight for SCS, Mr. Arun Kumar said that all opposition parties, including actor Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena, should make it as their election plank and teach a lesson to both the TDP and BJP.
