Vizianagaram district to get a facelift

District in-charge Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy has said that Vizianagaram district will be developed as a tourist destination.

On the second day of his stay here on Saturday, Mr. Reddy visited the house of Gurajada and Maharajah’s Government Music and Dance College.

At Gurajada’s house, he was shown the belongings of the litterateur. He promised to develop the Gurajada’s house into a museum.

Later, he watched the dance performance by a few students at the Music and Dance College.

Stating that noted playback singers of yesteryears Ghantasala and P. Suseela were the students this music college, the Minister promised to give a facelift to the age-old structures and beautify the premises.

As the Minister’s visit coincided with the annual day celebrations of the college, he handed over Rs. 10,000 to college principal Anuradha Parasuram for distribution among 10 top performers in various events.
