Violence breaks out at Muppala during MPTC poll

Violent mobs attacked YSR Congress leaders and kidnapped four MPTCs belonging to YSR Congress Party as the elections to MPP turned violent here at Muppala village near Sattenapalli on Sunday morning.

YSR Congress Party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu said that a group of 100 armed with sticks way laid the convoy of four vehicles including a van carrying MPTCs and attacked them.

They destroyed the vehicles and forcibly took away four MPTCs belonging to the party.

Party leaders including Mr. Rambabu were injured.

Mr. Rambabu demanded the elections to MPP should be put off in view of violent incident and alleged speaker Kodela Siva Prasad was behind the attack.
