Alliance Air, the regional arm of Air India, is starting a daily return flight from Chennai to Vijayawada. The new services will start from August 31 with the airline having worked out the arrival and departure timings.
The Chennai-Vijayawada flight will depart at 10.55 a.m. and reach Vijayawada at 12.15 p.m. The same aircraft will begin the return journey to Chennai at 12.35 p.m. reaching its destination at 13.55 p.m. The new service from Alliance Air comes at a time when there have been persistent demands from the travel industry circles for operating services to Chennai.
