Vignan Mahotsav from Jan. 30

Vignan Mahotsav, a national-level youth festival hosted by Vignan University, will commence on January 30, said Vice-Chancellor C. Tangaraj here on Wednesday.

The two-day event is expected to attract more than 10,000 students and the university had declared that Rs.15 lakh worth prizes would be given away to winners in 60 events.

B. V. R. Chowdary, Director, Singapore National University, is the chief guest of the inaugural in which cine writer Suddala Ashok is the guest of honour. International chess player Koneru Hampi will inaugurate the sports events. In the valedictory to be held on January 31, Sheik Suleiman, Director Placement of EDCIL India, is the chief guest. Schneider Electric, South India Director Joseph Napoleon, Rama Krishna, CEO Effetronics, Cine Director Bobby ( Power fame) will be present. Director, V.M Rao, co Convenors D. Vijay Krishna and Head of Department of CSE, Gnaneswar and Registrar Raghunathan were present.
