Vice-Chancellors pay tribute to Ambedkar

The half-a-dozen universities in Tirupati paid rich tributes to Dr. Ambedkar on his 125th birth anniversary on Thursday.

SV University Vice-Chancellor Avula Damodaram advised students to walk in his footsteps and strive to lift the fellow downtrodden.

He released the book ‘Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Gnanayogi’ authored by Vennelakanti Prakash.

At Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Vice-Chancellor Hare Krishna Satapathy explained how Babasaheb engineered a social revolution to let the voice of the common man heard. Dravidian University Vice-Chancellor E. Satyanarayana called Dr. Ambedkar a complete humanist, which was reflected in the mammoth task of drafting the Constitution.

Sri Padmavathi Women’s University Vice-Chancellor V. Durga Bhavani, in her message at the function, explained how Dr. Ambedkar could successfully overcome discrimination through education.

SVIMS University Vice-Chancellor V. Sivakumar said Ambedkar brought light to millions of lives by adhering steadfast to his avowed principles on equality.
