Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Killi Kruparani said there were only diverse views between leaders in Congress on account of internal democracy in the party, and there are no differences among them as such.

She was talking to mediapersons briefly after a function where she presented prizes to children who excelled at the national-level science talent search competitions conducted by the Unified Council, a testing and assessment organisation, here on Sunday.

Ms. Kruparani said Congress had dealt with internal crises well in its 135-year long history.

As for ‘chaos’, she said it was the creation of media. There was nothing of that sort in the party.

Speaking at the function earlier, she said the Union government had drawn up plans for one crore households to clear bills for government services over mobile phones by the year end.

One lakh common service centres would be set up in the country for online services during the period.

An amount of Rs. 20,000 crore was proposed to be spent to extend Internet connectivity to 2.5 lakh gram panchayats.

Noted hypnotist B.V. Pattabhiram advised children not to get into the trap of five Cs – cell phones, cable TV, cinema, cricket betting and cyber friendship.

Parents should cultivate five Ts – time for children, talking to children, touching children physically, trusting children and teaching them values.

Writer Yandamuri Veerendranath asked parents to bring up their children as organisers and not labourers.
