Two sinkholes form in CK Dinne

Two large sinkholes were reportedly formed in a mangrove at Goodavandlapalli of Chintakommadinne mandal in Kadapa district on Tuesday.

Nearly two years after a few sinkholes appeared in some parts of Kadapa district, mud caved in at two places forming large circular cavities of 20-foot depth and 30-foot width. Two mango trees got uprooted and fell into the sinkholes, but only one tree was partly visible, according to the residents. Horticulturists are wary of going to work in the mangrove fearing formation of more sinkholes, as it is near Buggavanka stream which got good inflow due to heavy rains.
