TV9 news reader Kalla Bhadri killed in road accident

A news reader of vernacular news channel TV9, Kalla Bhadri (40) was killed in a road accident near Dwarakata Tirumala in West Godavari district on Sunday.

His wife Sujatha (35), two sons Sandeep (12), Sai (9), and brother-in-law Tarak, were rushed to government general hospital in Vijayawada with critical wounds.

Native of Unguturu in the district, the senior TV journalist and his family members came by car to Dwaraka Tirumala from Hyderabad for a darshan of lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy. Bhadri, who was driving the car, lost control over the vehicle and hit a tree in opposite direction which resulted in his death on the spot, said Bhimadole Circle Inspector M. Venkateswara Rao.

The mishap occurred when the family was proceeding towards Bhadri’s in-laws at Avupadu near Dwaraka Tirumala after the darshan. Dwaraka Tirumala police are investigating the case.
