TTD to promote Go Pradakshina in a big way

Promoting the concept of ‘Go Pradakshina’ in a big way, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) management is getting a centre readied at Alipiri, the foot of Tirumala hills, for the purpose. According to Hindu scriptures, circumambulating cows fulfills one’s wishes and bestows prosperity.

Speaking after laying the foundation stone for the proposed ‘Go Pradakshinasala’, Chairman Chadalawada Krishnamurthy quoted from ‘Venkatachala Mahatmyam’ the divine association between Lord Venkateswara and cow, where the latter feeds him on his arrival on Earth from his heavenly abode. The Cow shed spread over 4468 sq.ft. is estimated to cost Rs.67 lakh, which is being borne by Trust board member Sekhar Reddy.

TTD board members D. Sree Bala Veeranjaneya, Putta Sudhakar Yadav, Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, A.V. Ramana, J. Sekhar, Ella Suchitra, D.P. Anantha, Sampath Ram Narayanan, G. Bhanuprakash Reddy, Vaidyanathan Krishnamoorthy and P. Hariprasad participated in the ceremony. Sri Venkateswara Go Samrakshanasala Director K. Harinath Reddy were present.
