Trouble is brewing in the fledgling Kiran Kumar Reddy government in Andhra Pradesh as several senior Ministers, unhappy with the portfolios allocated to them, were in a mood to revolt.

Sources say Vatti Vasanth Kumar, who was given Tourism and Youth Services against Rural Development he had earlier handled, has sent in his resignation to the Chief Minister.

Some other Ministers are likely to follow suit. Among those who have expressed dissatisfaction with their portfolios are Dharmana Prasada Rao (R&B), Ponnala Laxmaiah (IT), Botcha Satyanarayana (Transport), K. Laxminarayana (Housing). C. Damoda Rajanarsimha (Higher Education), Danam Nagendar (Labour), P. Shankar Rao (Textiles), Komatireddy Venkat Reddy (Ports) and Kasu Venkata Krishna Reddy (Cooperationi).
