Tobacco Board contributes Rs. 76.66 lakh to CMRF

Tobacco Board, Guntur, has contributed Rs. 76.66 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support the government’s efforts to restore normalcy in the north coastal districts, which were battered by Cyclone Hudhud.

Tobacco Board Chairman Koothati Gopal presented a cheque to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in Hyderabad on Friday. Executive Director C.V. Subba Rao and Liaison Officer K. Kaladhar were present.

While flue-cured Virginia (FCV) tobacco growers in Nellore, Prakasam and West Godavari districts have contributed Rs. 73.24 lakh, employees of the Board gave Rs. 3.41 lakh to the CMRF.

Dr. Gopal also briefed the CM about the various developmental activities taken up by the board on the occasion.
