Tirupati, Vijayawada to be IT hubs: AP Minister

Andhra Pradesh government on Tuesday said that Kakinada, Tirupathi, Vijayawada and Ananthapur towns in the state would be developed as IT hub.

“The state government is committed for the development of the IT industry, which is very important for the development of the state. Therefore, we would soon announce the IT policy,” Andhra Pradesh Information Technology Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy said while addressing members of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at an interactive session here on Tuesday.

“IT hubs will be developed at Kakinada, Tirupati, Vijayawada and Ananthapur and Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) hub will be developed in Visakhpatnam,” he added.

Mr. Reddy, along with the State Human Resources Development Ganta Srinivasa Rao earlier visited the Rushikonda IT SEZ located between the Visakhapatnam-Bheemili beach road.
