After having remained closed for more than 14 hours the temple doors of the famous hill temple of Lord Venkateswara were re-opened on Thursday morning soon after the conclusion of the solar eclipse.

The priests ceremoniously carried out the post related eclipse rituals such as Suddhi, Samprokshanam and Punyavachanam ahead of opening the temple doors around 10.00 am. All the Nitya kainkaryams were carried out in ekantham and the devotees were allowed for the darsan of the deity after 11.00 a.m. The massive Nitya Annadanam complex which was also shut down the previous night was brought back into use this afternoon. Devotees were allowed into the Vaikuntam queue complex only after 9.30 a.m.
